Mike is a comedian and a writer. His perception is sharp, his style is edgy, and the combination is pure comedy. With standout performances on SHOWTIME, “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” “Last Call with Carson Daly” and touring nationally, he has established himself as an original voice in the world of comedy. Blending insightful social commentary and drawing from his real life for inspiration, Mike delivers a unique style of stand up. Born and raised in Detroit, from a blue collar background, Mike spent his summers shoveling scrap metal in the junk yard with his father. "It was my dad's way of telling me to pick another profession” says Mike. In school, he was the class clown and found his voice and his audience early on. “It was great having a built in audience in detention. They loved to laugh and there was nowhere else to go to once you were there." After college, Mike pursued his career in comedy. He performed stand-up for the first time at the world famous Comedy Store on Sunset Blvd. He is the creator of The Young American Comedy Tour, a wildly successful tour featuring himself, Bobby Lee of “Mad TV,” Steve Ranizizi of FX's “The League,” Steve Byrne and Tony Rock. The tour has played over 40 cities and 21 Improvs. Currently, Mike resides in Los Angeles but still pays homage to his hometown of Detroit in his comedy act. He splits his time between comedy, writing and producing for television and film. He is currently in production on his directorial debut "My Man is a Loser" starring Michael Rapaport and Bryan Callen which will be released in 2013.
