Mary Patterson Broome's Bio

Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama and now based in Los Angeles, California, Mary Patterson (that’s a double-name, there is no hyphen, take a deep breath) Broome is a comedian, writer, actress and self-help enthusiast. She has performed stand-up comedy at clubs, colleges, casinos, cruise ships, banquet halls, United States military bases, and many other random rooms with microphones, for over 13 years.

Mary Patterson has appeared on nationally syndicated radio’s The Bob & Tom Show and Comedy Dynamics: Uncontrolled Comedy. She has been invited to participate in numerous comedy festivals including SF Sketchfest, Moontower Comedy Festival, Laughing Skull Festival, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, San Luis Obispo Comedy Festival, Women In Comedy Festival, Asheville Comedy Festival and Big Pine Comedy Festival.

She was a staff writer on AOL Originals’ Emmy-nominated Making a Scene with James Franco and WE TV’s Sex Box. She has guest starred in two critically acclaimed web series, Soho Haus Rules and Lonely Lil. In 2019, Mary Patterson released “Scott from San Francisco,” a web series she wrote, directed, produced and starred in.

Mary Patterson is a regular contributor to NuMe USA, Mashed and Women’s Health Magazine Online. She is a graduate of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and her picture is on the wall of a dry cleaner in Hollywood, which is her biggest career achievement to date.
